Soupçon Saturday Recap 12/27/25
Saturday nights are always special at Soupçon HQ as four acts took the stage and taking the packed room along for the ride. Starting out the night with some ‘sauntery’ sounds, That Geode, a Lambertville local duo, Greg and Gunther painted soundscapes highlighting the beauty in what could be considered a bleak reality. “I felt like I was walking back to the real world after a long meditative hike” said one show goer, suggesting the connection between beauty and pain to be at the center of performance. This set the stage for Hubble Benson to take everyone to a local dance floor and get the people going. This place was of course Soupçon and the dance floor was hot! Hubble Benson’s ability to change texture as a band, simultaneously, while still holding the groove was really impressive and had some audience members comparing the shifts with Phish! A strong segue for BrAndyn AndyNy and their first show, with themselves taking inspiration for the aforementioned jam band. 1 guitarist, Brandon, and multi-instrumentalist Andy, really made the audience reconsider how far a single guitar and saxophone can take you away. The answer is far out man. a mix of dance tracks and sweet sweet grooves kept the listeners on their toes as the music swept us away far into the night, and what a night. With Slow Noche as the perfecting ending, their calm latin grooves to simmer things down, while still keeping the night hot. An instrumental trio, they kept it tight and the dancers dancing.
